Back to the Motorola phone... the Bluetooth ULF is quite expensive.... Can I swap the cradle that the v50 is in, for a different phone cradle? I see Bluetooth snap in cradles but not sure whether they are correct. |

The iPhone only works with the ULF or the newer (cheaper) TCU. The ULF or TCU replaces the existing Telephone Control Unit in the trunk. The snap-in adapter is then only used to hold and charge the iPhone, and to provide passive antenna coupling to the external antenna (if fitted) All voice and phone control happens over bluetooth |

So can I not get a different cradle from the v50 one, say for a nokia phone...?
I'm not bothered about using bluetooth, the wired connection would be fine! |

The V50 control unit controls only the V50 phone
No other phone shares the same control protocol as the V50. Remember: not only do you have Microphone and Speaker connections, there's also the control to make/end a phone call, dial numbers, etc etc. This control varies hugely from phone to phone. If you wish to have universal control capability, where the control unit can control many different phones, then you need to use the ULF or the TCU-BT (new version TCU that has Vluetooth built in) control unit, and connect the phone via Bluetooth. It's the only way. |

Back onto TV.
Are there any instructions around on how to remove the TV module? I can see it under the wheel but not sure how to get it out of the L Shaped black plastic frame. |

So, got the TV module removed....
Its was really corroded, it had eat right through the metal casing... Cleaned it up, still the same. So I've left it out, but now I have no display for the nav etc. Is there anyway I can fix it so I can just have the display for radio, nav etc bu without the TV module.... until I buy a new module. |

And check the radio module carefully too. And fix the source of water entry into the vehicle! To make the nav work without TV, you'll have to join the video lines together in the blue and white TV module connectors. |

If the TV module was that corroded, then replace it. - I think it was corrosion, it was covered in a white powdery/chalky substance.
And fix the source of water entry into the vehicle! - Is there any easy way to trace the problem? Is it a known issue? To make the nav work without TV, you'll have to join the video lines together in the blue and white TV module connectors. - Is there a connector I can get to go in between the blue and white connectors or do I need to take the connectors off and join cables manually? |

Otherwise just tie the connectors side-by-side and join the video lines with some hard copper wire of the right size, poked into the right pins. That's enough for a temporary connections. |
