HOWEVER: The CD drive only fits in the E46 The MD drive is rarely seen outside of Europe The parts list only shows Cassette as available for the X5 Additionally, the physical shape of the monitor is different between 3, 5, 7 series and X5 I think the E38 7 series and X5 share the same shape. BUT the viewing angle is different - so an E38 monitor will not show up well on an X5 To be safe, purchase only a Monitor that came from an X5
