SF-HD4 Laser
My MK IV navigation stopped reading DVD's but still reads CDs so I'm about to purchase a new laser to fix it.

I've read conflicting reports about which laser is needed. I need it to read DVD's, I can care less about CDs.

Will this one with the white cap work? Does anyone know for SURE from experience?

Didi is on a distinguished road
Until now I used the ones with the black cover only.
I never tried one with a white cap. But keep in mind that you need the CD reading capabilty when you want to update your OS next time.

No need to read cd's. Just burn the OS on a DVD.
