Adding postcode POI to 2010-1 SL DVD (High)
I'm currently using a 2010-1 single layer DVD for my High system in my E46 (mk4 drive). I've upgraded my firmware to v32 and now would like to add postcode POI (7 digit) to my DVD. Is there a 'best' way to tackle this? I've got a database of all of the uk postcodes and their OS co-ords so I am sure I can mackle that into a compatable POI format (ov2 etc etc). Is it just a matter then of just using pimp my nav or poison to get them into the nav? On the screenshots I've seen of others who have done this they've put the postcodes into sub categories (POSTCODE A, POSTCODE B etc) - am I right in thinking thats because the system can't handle the 1.2m POIs in one directory? If I can gather enough info on this subject I'd be more than happy to write a quick 'how-to' so this common question can be easily answered for others on here too. Cheers |
