MK4 Nav + iPhone: How do I get Speed Dials to work?
I have an iPhone 3GS and a Mk4 High Nav (E46 2004) updated to V32. The iPhone pairs beautifully and the phonebook is downloaded correctly to the directory. However the Speed Dial list (accessed by pressing the R/T button on the steering wheel) is populated with just one entry, looks like the first entry in my phonebook, and not with my iPhone favourites as I would like. Does anyone out there have knowledge of how to get this feature to work properly? Or is it just one of those things that will never work with the iPhone and Nav? Thanks for reading and I hope you can help |

I cant say for sure but.
I don't believe the iPhone lists numbers by favorites in the X I believe it's done by groups. So look at the groups you have and see if the one entry you have is a group populated by that one entry. If it is then you have your answer. You need to sync your phone with numbers in the proper group.

Hmmm OK I will give that a try, by creating a group called "Speed Dials" on my iphone and see if it works. However there are no groups at present so it can't be one of those that's creating a single entry on the nav...
Anyone else cast some light on this for me? |

Perhaps the speed dial is your most used numbers, and you need to make more calls from the car to populate the list?

Perhaps enabling the voice module would be an alternative option. Apparently, NavCoder can enable voice recognition. Look here for a video that illustrates how it works.
