Anyone tried this front camera?

Hello,

Has anyone tried this front camera?
RealOEM.com * BMW E39 530d Exit camera

It can be very handy sometimes..
But its very expensive to buy! So if anyone knows a aftermarket camera
of the "same type", it would be nice if you can post it here

I think its some mirrors that split the view so you can see both ways

Thanks!

Best Regards.
Fredrik

Heh, never seen that one before... Kinda like an early version of the bumper cameras on the new 7 series.

Heck, put a tv screen in there with multiple inputs... DVD player, backup cam, left front, right front.

I only found one camera with a dual view and is both US only and discontinued. Plus it needs an extra box that is not included, but the part is an Eclipse FEC106. Would be interested to hear of any other cameras people find.

Yes, think you need a swich box or something..
That camera is just what we need! But i wonder if it will fit any screen? Would think it uses standard AV signal?

But if the camera split the image itself, we can use the AV input on the video module

Wouldn't be hard at all to add a CCTV mux and you could have 4/8 or even 16 camera's
NTSC are the only camera's that will work anyway...........

Not true, reverse camera can be PAL or NTSC
It's just a question of coding the Video Module properly...

NavCoder can do it.
