Appreciate the input the other day. I ordered the disk from getbmwparts.com. However, the disk seems to be backordered from Germany, or atleast that is what the status says. Any other suggestions for me?
Thanks JAX |

you might be able to find a download of the file off the internet... also, check some other bmw dealers, they might have in stock - i suspect, that the bmw na does not allow those OS disks for distribution anymore... if i could burn a copy i would have send you one... i just can't burn it...

Once you have the NAV OS disc in hand, what's the process for updating the system?

you make sure that the battery is fully charged as it may take 10-15 minutes and you don't want the nav system to lose power.. i usually start the engine and don't worry about the battery...
then you pull out your map disk and shove in the OS disk... then... just wait until the nav computer spits out the OS disk... you are done... if you have any mods to you OS, the new OS will overwrite them... |

Don't open and close doors while the disk is running. Just stand back. I just put the key in the ass. position, I guess that's 1.
