Hey Justin, I also have 2001 X5 and mine is 4:3 and as Jeff said you probably have MKIII system. I upgraded mine (had 3-1/17) to 3-1/63 and I have all the CDs needed. By the way if you have version prior to 3-1/18, you WILL need a so-called "Key CD". Don't start the upgrade process if you don't have that. Let me know if you need more info.

Hey razrv3,
Thanks, razrv3. I found the BMWportal.com site that has the KEY-CD. I stayed up 'till 2am this morning to upgrade the NAV. I had to burn the CD a couple times but it worked after a few attempts. The different is night and day --> love the new IceLink display with split screen . By the way, do you happen to know where I can get the up dated map DVD? Is it available for download anywhere? I just realized that my version is 2000-2. Thanks again, razrv3.Justin. Quote:

Yeah, try Emule or Edonkey.
If it's a DVD then you have a MKIV system and you might want to upgrade to V26. With MKIII you can use CDs only. Good luck |
