The installation went on perfectly, but there was no need for me to downgrade then upgrade again, because my car originally didn't have a Accept screen like most other people.

About the homelink Seedar, the homelink people at the office still haven't give me a reply on the unit yet. But I'm curious to know, how'd you open it up and replace the unit within though. Is it a hard job? or was it easy? Please show some of the steps that you took to make it happen if you can. If you got pictures for demostration it'll be great too. Not sure if I'll dare myself to open it up though, cause normally when I try to fix things...I can't put it back properly, or just ended up recking it
Taking it apart is easy, from memory you remove a stuck on label and prize open two pastic clips which are visible from the outside. I think then inside there are two philips screws. I kept the buttons and LEDs PCB and just connected up my hand held remote PCB to the connections to the homelink, removing the main homelink PCB altogether.

Its simple if you have some basic electronics knowlege, unfortunately I didn't take photos at the time. You connect +12v and ground and wire in one of the homelink switches instead of the button on your remote. Exactly how depends on your remote. Of course your remote MUST use a 12v battery to power it - but most do these days.

cheers,
Seedar
