I have it on my 05 4.4 for over 2 monthes now and I love it.. You can really hear the air sucking in when you accelerate and when you shut off the engine you can hear it go shhhh..

You are correct, Cold Air Intakes do typically deduct some low end power, but you usually get it back up top.

that sucks, i hate not having that quick low end, what mods can help w. low end torque?

I don't think even if there was a loss of lowend power, itd be significant. The overall consensus is that the intake makes the driving experience even better. I think the Dinan intake is a box type intake, that would most likely help with low + mid range. Throttle body upgrade would help with lowend. To really make use of the intake, throttle body and exhaust should be upgraded too.

CAIs will not give you increase in low end torque. But it can actually increase your fuel economy as your engine “learns” to work more efficiently. That's what I found with my AFE after several months. And anyone looking for a nice "throaty" intake sound, this is it. :)
