I have a passport 8500 x50. Served me well. Had it for 5 months. No tickets yet. Brought it to frisco 3 times, saved me a bunch of times. Others might suggest the v1. I think they're both good. Goodluck with your choice.

I have a BEL Rx65 , but also bought a Valentine for the new X5 - Frankly, I had never heard of the Valentine until this website.

I have a hardwired Passport 8500 and it has saved my butt a few times in the last several years. As jaba said, many contend the v1 is the way to go. No matter what you use, you can't blindly rely on it. You will have to learn how to use it as a sixth sense.
