20 Cars to remember from the last 20 years
Current issue of Automobile, BMW did well:
Acura NSX BMW M3 BMW M5 Chevrolet Corvette C6Z06 Chrysler 300C Chrysler Minivan Ferrari F40 Ferrari F430 Honda Accord Honda Civic Jeep Cherokee Lexus LS400 Mazda Miata Mini Cooper S Mercedes-Benz 300E Porsche Boxster Nissan 300ZX Turbo Porsche 911 Volkswagen GTI Subaru Imprezza WRX |
I saw that too, but I have to say, I haven't been very impressed with Automobile these days - they seem to talk more and more about the places they visit and not enough about the cars - and I think the photography is about the worst in the biz - decent shots but not of the right things and not from the right distance. They talk about a cool feature of a vehicle and then they don't show you a picture of it! Most of their pics are too small too. Oh, and Mrs. Jennings should really get a new avatar for her column - looks like she's giving the invisible man a BJ... (it's not in this issue, but look at some some of the previous months)
Just thought I'd share that... |
TOYOTA?:tsk: none? nade? supra doesn't count? camry doesn't count?

I agree... I used to work there, trust me when i say that your observations are what they want the pub to be, to set them apart from the MT/CD/RT pubs.... more literary, stories about trips/journies and the cars they took, the destinations, etc. and even though jean isn't exactly ms. america, she's the coolest car chick you ever want to meet.

The 300ZX brought TT's to the forefront for the average buyer. The Supra TT, while now an almighty track God, didn't set the trend. |

I'm sad to see they didn't include the Countach or even the Testarossa. In the 80's those were the quintessential "dream cars" that famous athletes or maybe Sonny Crockett drove. They didn't really introduce any breakthroughs, but like the Accord was in the driveway of many homes, the Redhead and that Lambo were in the dreams and on the walls of tons of teenage boys who grew up in the 80's.
