Off Duty Police Officer

One of our chargers players was shot by an off duty police office who apparently "felt" threatned because he was in a cul-d-sac here in town, so he shot the guy 4 times  anyways he was driving in an unmarked car when he attempted to pull the guy over AND had no backup, which brought me to my opinion, would you EVER pull over for an off duty unmarked car? I wouldn't, I'd demand a real police car or drive to a police station before being pulled over, he could be the ax murdered for all I know, What does everyone else think?

I think you should feed your cat to the coyote.

Now, about the off-duty. No, if it was an unmarked car, no uniform, no badge etc I would NOT allow the person to approach my car. I would pull away and tell them I will meet them at the nearest police station.

How about I fed-ex you the cat Lam?

Depends on the circumstances and if the hair on the back of my neck is sticking up. You get that feeling in your gut if something isn't right.

If I'm speeding on the interstate, plenty of traffic around, yes I would. If it's in the middle of nowhere, no one around, I'd think twice and probably call the local police to confirm the identity of the car pulling me over.

uhh.. did you read the story at all? 1) the officer showed his badge 2) Accomplice pointed his car at the officer and rev/lunged at the officer. 3) He did call for backup and marked police cars were they when they shot him 4) He had a record

get your damn facts straight as usual. You have to pull over if the guy shows a badge.

See BUT right where I live is a bridge called the Kara Knott bridge, she was a girl who was pulled over by an "off duty" police officer back in the early 80's on that bridge (she was 20 something) and she was raped and killed on the side of the freeway

Yeah I'm saying I don't think I'd even pull over in a cul-d-sac let alone let the officer close enough to show me his badge, record or not, I'd be freaked out if I was cornered by a police car, and I have heard both sides, that police cars were there and also they we're not, depended on whose side of the story you listened too, its very complicated and I don't think anyone really know what happened, San I really don't need you commenting on my thread, kindly go away somewhere
