After reading the above artists I know what electronica is now, everyone just called it 'dance' music over here, and I have got plenty from Oakenfold and ATB in my old stash of CD's. Now if I could just find them.

Man,

Oakie and ATB is so Bubble Gum compared to some of the production being done right now.

What about Deep Dish and Satoshie Tomei. These guys blow away Paul Oakenfold and ATB.

Thankyou everyone for your suggestions. I started checking out a few of the mentioned artists, and found that I really enjoy them.

I can get into more specifics if you want later but for now, I will start you with a couple of essential albums you should buy.
1) "Northern Exposure" albums I, II and III by Sasha and John Digweed http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...0&Go.y=0&Go=Go
2) Global Underground "OSLO" by Paul Oakenfold http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...0&Go.y=0&Go=Go
3) "Airdrawndagger" by Sasha

Most of the "Global Underground" series are VERY good as are the "Essential" series hosted by Pete Tong.
Most of these albums are a bit pricey as they are imports but well worth the money.

That should get you started..

I picked up the album by Paul Oakenfordtoday, and it is fantastic.

 It's one of the few Oakenfold albums that still holds weight imho.. It's got a good mix of Break Beat, Drum and Bass, a little trance mixed up with some deep/progressive house. It was an early Oakenfold album before he went all "Happy Trance".

I can't highly stress enough how good the NORTHERN EXPOSURE albums are by Sasha and John Digweed. And Deep Dish albums are also always insanely good.

Enjoy !

www.di.fm -- greatest source of music EVER ... even includes traditional music genres like classical (GREAT playlists); spanish flamenco (SUPERB); classical guitar (EXQUISITE); and a lot more ....

the "CHILLOUT" station is at times only mediocre ... but when it DOES play excellent stuff, it is some of THE. GREATEST. MUSIC. EVER. and this is coming from a classical piano-trained guy from the SF Conservatory of Music lol

but if you're looking for more high-energy stuff, the trance, vocal trance, house, and other such channels will also please you.

www.di.fm ... you will LOVE it

i've used the StreamRipper plugin with WinAMP to record streams and then burn cd albums of the stuff. for the Chillout station music, i find that letting my computer stream and record music all night long and then spending the next few days filtering out the best bits reuslts in the best compilations. i have something like 5 or 6 cds i've compiled over the past 2 yrs or so.

I don't really listen to that kind of music now, so I've never really looked into the latest stuff.

Dread Rock and Furious Angels by Paul Oakenfold are about the onlt songs I still play because they are on the Matrix trillogy soundtracks and have a really industrial sound to them.

Are there any composers that do just heavy Industrial electronica/trance/dance music?
