No shite! I'm so frickin' frustrated, and close to just throwing the frickin' XPS out the window.

Don't do that. First why not disconnect everything connected to your PC and turn it off fo 15 minutes then turn it back on so it can run it's self diognostics.mosey down to your nearest Mac Store and ask them for some info about what's going on. Since you bought a apple product your entitled to some help to use it. Proceed from there.

I've taken a few deep, cleansing breaths since my last post, and am still working on it. :) I think I'm only going to spend another hour or so trying, and if I'm still unsuccessful, I'll definitely get some advice from the Mac gurus this coming weekend. Although, I must admit that I'm getting to the stage where getting rid of the Dell laptop sounds like a viable option...maybe not by throwing it out the window though! Thanks all, and if I figure this out, I'll let y'all know.

Although that's a great idea, (with which I agree wholeheartedly:thumbup: ), it's actually easier to connect to the VPN for work and view cases using a PC. Unfortunate, but true. So, despite my eagerness to completely be a Mac person, right now that's virtually impossible...a total bummer. And if you're curious, yes, I'm still working on connecting that darned PC, and yes, I've had the "blue screen of death" at least 3 more times. AARRGGHH!!

What's the issue regarding VPN at work and access to VPN from a Mac.?

Our PACS system is the rate limiting step, so to speak. It's just less of a hassle to use a PC for access, as the web browser used to view images is Windows based, and rather "finicky."

So, after discussing my issues with the IT guys at work, since I'm already running Parallels and Windows XP Pro on my MacBook, I can do what I need to on the Mac as far as work's concerned, so I'll, in all likelihood, get rid of the Dell XPS. So, basically, I haven't solved the issue of the Dell not connecting to my current wireless network, but it really doesn't matter!
