I did RTM....really :) but I had no clue it was via the SOS button. I'm used to going directly to a human asking about an accident from my experience with OnStar....:D

as far as your rant on iDrive, they have a < > button, including one on the steering wheel. :nanana:

the new X5 iDrive is pretty damn good, but I still think they should tell Windows to go to hell and use iPod logic.

I pressed the voice button on the steering wheel back in '04 when my parents were looking at E53 and someone answered. IDK what that was though. What mobile service does Assist use?

I'm perfectly aware of the UI design (including buttons and their locations) of the iDrive.

It still sucks. :)
