gotta love the concierge

was running late for work, and had to stop at the bank... long days at the office, and I keep forgetting to call or go online to order tickets for a show i want to go see tomorrow night.

concierge to the rescue. called them, and had tickets ordered within 10 minutes... all the while i was at the bank teller and driving to work... love technology...! :D

You must be in the minority. We never touched the BMW Assist button after the introductory call.

It's a nice service but has not proved all that useful to the CEO. They called last night and offered to renew for $199.00. I think she refused.

The concierge is great though even for the $5.00 service charge. Now if i could get em to buck up for both cars for the same price that might be the ticket.

Interestingly I was just reminded that Mercedes roadside service is still active. Last week my daughter could have called them to replace her battery and all it would have cost was the price of the battery. That service will continue for as long as she owns (or i should say as long as my grand daughter) owns the car.

My wife and I use it all the time. I've used it to make reservations, get directions, and now purchase tickets. I love it.

How long have you had it?

IIRC you have to pay extra for directions. Mapquest before you leave home solves that problem.

Well, neither of us has Nav. Until BMW does something about the idiotic iDrive, I will refuse to get Nav.

Mapquest only helps when you know where you're going. Often, my wife's job requires her to go a client's office on very short notice, and the BMW assist people have actually stayed on the phone with her, talking her through every turn until she gets to her location. Oh yeah, mapquest cannot make hotel or restaurant reservations for you, either. :D

Yeah, the service is worth the extra five bucks we pay a month, thank you. :)

No need to. Matter of fact, there is no phone needed to call BMW Assist.

Is'nt it free for first 4 years on all BMWs MY 2007 and later?
