Our TVs are mainly used for other than movies, sports and daytime viewing. For movies, sports we watch on the big Stewart screen.

Well I'm not saying plasma's are only good for movies and sports but go with that panny from frys, its last years model I believe, the new model is 85U but I don't think there is any difference. Very good price.

Did you get the Panasonic Pro plasma?

Onkyo receivers are great. :)

That is one serious power conditioner. :wow:

Are you going to have the display and/or audio calibrated?

Congrats!

Nice! . I have that same receiver for my living room except I paid $930 for it. Salamander stands are nice. I chose to go with BDI instead.

Now all you need are some awesome speakers, Center and HUGE SUBWOOFER or two!

I have two JL Audio F113 Fathoms in my theatre room, the bass is so low it it will literally make you sick to the stomach.

Keep us updated on on what speakers you get.

Not sure calibration for this monitor is required.
But I plan to make sure everything is set up properly.
