OK, (I may be wrong) but I thought this "branding" change due to the fact that some lawyers said this site was not to use certain trademark elements?

So if we cant use "X5" (or X3 and X6) how about just the "X"? is this verboten? (Mark5)

That is most likely going to be pushing it. BMW does not control the use of open source fonts. A similar font without their shadows is perfectly legal. Using their X outright- bad.

With the use of that X the outpost doesn't flow. Someone would need to crack open Fireworks and knock out an embossed font. Or Illus.

The lawyers here should be able to rule specifically.

Appreciate all the hard work. I wondering where is the artistic reference
to outpost? As I see it there seems to be too much emphasis on X when
the entire concept should be highlighted.

S: (n) outpost (a military post stationed at a distance from the main body of troops)

Heres my thought. Apparently the drawing of the Vehicle on the home page
passed legal inspection. If that's the case why not make smaller additional
drawings just like that one resembling the other X vehicles we promote.
line them up the way we do when we go to meets and right under that
vehicle line up put the printed logo xOutpost. Under that have the intent of the site.

Because then you'd be dealing with another companies copyrighted item :dunno:

I reckon Last5oh rear boot lid pics look good with the logo presented as a sticker 'cause that's where it will be seen as much as on this site.
