But it has the same screen res as my 3-year old 10" lightweight laptop, i.e.1024x768. How old is the laptop? ;) My 15" laptop has 1280x800 and it looks fine. You may need to increase the res on your laptop.

I have it set to the largest resolution.

The E70 in the banner is completely covered by the "st.com" part of the logo.

It doesn't bother me much as I don't use the Home page often but I agree with the OP that the horizontal part is too wide.

Note that I'm not talking about the banner at the top (and I don't think the OP was either). Some others have brought that up.

I have multiple monitors and I run my browser windows on 1200x1600 resolution (yes, rotated) and this is what the Home page looks like:

Autostretch would be nice but for me, it's looking alot better then where it was originally at. I run ultra hi resolutions at the desk at 2560x ??? and I was still scrolling the site.

At 1440 res on the notebook, it's fine even with my window opened at 80%
