gwc, based on your staement "I used this one, fitted in the rear BMW emblem and its perfect." - I have the same camera model (PAL :() and like to see some pictures how the installation looks like... I doubt about correct fitment to rear BMW logo on the trunk lid :(
BTW, besides the camera, what I need to buy ? VSM with TV support module from EAS or just rear camera module from Bimmernav ? :) A bit confused...
Will TV plays Secam program ? please advice...

How deep is the space behind BMW emblem? How deep can camera be to fit into logo without drilling a big hole?

Are you saying 40mm will fit without doing any drilling into the body? Also, on screen, can you see your bumper when camera is in the logo?

Thanks!

Maybe a little, but doesn't interfere with the doorlock, was a while back. No cant see the bumper.

Interesting, I thought it's just the body of the door behind that emblem. But it looks like I was wrong. Thanks qwc!

Did you install yours with relay?

Theres a hole behind the emblem iirc, its smaller dia than the camera,it needs enlarging with a step drill, again, iirc.....

It does need a relay, yes.A second one helps sometimes to keep the camera power seperate but mine didn't need it.

I've recently fitted one to my Dodge (mercedes) Sprinter and used a CCD camera instead of CMOS,much better quality esp at night.

>> Why NTSC? I really want to know. I need to understand these things.

Because that's the way VDO/Philips designed it.
