Don't I have to burn both files? The .mds and .mdf files?

Hi - I have had a similar problem, and no disc other than the original BMW 2003 version will now be accepted by my machine.

I have no less than 4 discs to try 2 from 2006 and 2 from 2007 issue and none of them will now load.

Just keeps on saying that there is no disc.

But pop back in the BMW 2003 disc and it runs fine.

I burned both files to a CD-ROM and followed the instructions. My navigation screen told me that there was an invalid disk format???

use alcohol 120% to burn those files.

Maybe you should use google and search for the extencies, mdf and mds.

Than you will see how to burn.

Okay, so I have the files V28.mdf and V28.mds.

1) I am supposed to burn both of them to disk with pretty much any burning software I choose?

2) Turn key 1 click.

3) Press Accept button.

4) Remove Map DVD from navigation unit

5) Insert burned CD-ROM

6) Wait 6 minutes?

I followed those steps with no luck. When I eventually selected the GPS Navigation menu item from my nav unit it said that it was an invalid disk or disk format.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Christian

Havn't had time to totally look into it yet, but I will let you know more tomorrow. For one I have the 3D perspective view now.

cpatzer 02-01-2007 01:24 PM

Okay, so far the differences I have noticed are:

1) Accept screen goes away after 8 seconds.
2) 3D Perspective view (You have to unlock this)
3) More menu items are disabled, when they are not necessary.
4) That is all I have seen so far, I will edit this post if I find more.
