Everythings works fine. Many thanks for the precise guidance through the single steps. Greetings from Bavaria Edit: March, 4th I've also succsessfully updated my Dad's X3 yesterday. Thankyou my nav is updated

I have a 2002 X5 3.0 . NAV at settings reads SW 3-1/40. MKIII V18 . Will the V28 version work for my truck?
|
I used Daemon tools to mount the image file and then use nero to burn it at low speed. Now i'm waiting for the OK that it'll work in my truck to upgrade the OS.

H-E-L-P
I installed V28 in my 2001 X5. Everything appeared to go well. Then when the system rebooted it prompted me to "insert CD key or version 17". It no longer likes my original Navigation CD. How can I fix this? Thanks, Alex |
keep calm!
just download the "Key CD" here: http://gren.ru/navi%20OS%20software.html (only about 5MB) burn it, insert it into the nav unit and enjoy your new V28 ! |
Perspective on MK3
Does MK3 support perspective (bird's eye view)?

No, it's not implemented in the MK3 firmware because the MK3 is much too slow !
In comparison: a MK4 it often only takes a few seconds to calculate a 1000km route. Changing the zoom-level only takes about 2 Sekonds. The MK4 is really much(!) faster! (I has both) |
I used the downloaded RAR unzip and my V28.mds shows a file size of 1 kb...is this right?
|
Should be fine
The mds is tiny, the mdf is the actual content. You're fine.
