Imagine you have v6.3 software

You can upgrade by either changing the software version to v6.4, OR or v0.0

Software version is stored in first 4 bytes of...
sw_rel.tbl
lng_rel.tbl
...both located in Mk3/0116/BMWC01S directory

When you look with a hex editor it will be easy to understand :-)

Ok Joc
maybe I understand, but Mk3/0116/BMWC01S directory is open in every language and every system?
I.E. You have US language in your system, and I have italian ;)
Does sw charge the same directory in both case?
Thnks

The OS is not language dependent. The language files are loaded separately. You can use my NavCoder app to select langauges - and you can change languages any time.

On my car, to find out what directory the OS would load from (because I did not know), I labeled the MENU text with the directory name, and made a different usw_load one for each directory. Then I loaded the SW in my car, and saw that my car loaded from the 0116 directory.

See picture in my posts here:
http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/...showtopic=9033

I suggest you try the same, let me know which directory your car loads from

Jochen

Hi Jochen...always kind...:)
I'll try out wich dir my nav system loads from.

So, where I can find your NavCoder app to change language?

Last question...I made a copy of an .iso file (I extracted all files in a folder on the desktop simply with a right click on file, then "extract to...", and I choosed the folder made before...is this right? I have WinRar installed) with your modified mode2isomaker in mode2...but it created three files: an .iso, an .toc, an .cue.
Trying to load image with ImgBurn, it recognize only .iso file and say me that is a mode2 etc.
What should I do with the other files (.toc and .cue)?
Thanks

Ignore th TOC and CUE files, you don't need them. Just the ISO needs to be burnt.

how to crate a file ISO, I make it, but create iso inside another iso.....

Symbian 01-05-2007 06:05 AM

Ekonet... first you have to extract the original .iso file with a sw, such as MagicIso, then you take all extracted files and then you can make a new .iso file ;) as teached me Jochen
