hi i have a e92 335d bmw 07 plate(i-drive) sorry bit of a newb
1. am i right in thinking i can update the os to v 32 ?how do i check which version i have ?

your car can only get a new firmware by your car dealer!
Only the old navsystem can be update with a update disc, the new cars like yours must be connect to the bmw system.

Which year was your car manufactured?
I have had a problem with a 2005er e61, the dvd works fine, but the poi folders wasnt displayed on the screen. But after update the system software by bmw dealer, all function are now available.
