hmm so my software is already poisoned, i believe. anyway

Adding POIs to the map..
I copied all files from the original nav disc (2003-2) to a folder on desktop. (i know you dont have to copy all but i did anyway)
Open poison
Next
select map db folder
(c/desktop/nav 2003-2 original
next
i see the script of all the info
next
bottom says 0 points
Import
Go to the POI folder, select the csv file click ok and nothing...... it closes the box like i did chose it but but now it says 0 imported. 0 added

Well all that sounds exactly right, if the points are not being seen by poison then they will be in the wrong format. Try one of the other ones infill you get the right ones.

[3. Add your own POI or import from plain lon/lat txt or csv file.
Take a look at POIplaza | Free Points of Interests (POI) for iGO, Garmin, Sygic, TomTom and other popular navigation systems.
You can use: iGO 8 txt, iGo txt, GARMIN csv, destinator asc, mio asc, navigon asc, route 66 csv and tomtom asc files from there.]

Ive tried ASC CSV TXT KML same problem

Pm me your region and I'll have look on Monday and see if I can find the right format.

You have to change the decimal symbol to a dot under Control panel -> region. If it's set to comma (like in Germany) then you can't import anything.

Hello everyone,

Newby onthe forum, I just read the entire post.
First of all, congratulations and thanks for all the infos and advices.
I have a question ...
I have a e39 touring with mk4 2003. I currently have the map high 2014.

Is it possible to Add POI with sound alerts to my BMW MK4 nav system with this 2014 map ?
It seems that I have the same problem as the 2010 map owners (Navteq have blocked unused POI's from the carindb).

thanks

Yes, of course, I run the 2014 modded map.

you need to use the padding files from the 2010 disc mate.

You also need to cut the disc down to SL, (and use teh sl files from the 2010 disc),
