The RX and LS both had amazing sales too. At least they're doin it right . But yes, they're quality/reliability is unmatched.

Yeah... but they have no soul... I'll stick with my bimmer. I've never liked Lexus; as mentioned here before, they've always copied designs from Benz or BMW. It's a good, reliable brand, but I'll never own one.

Come on now! Lexus has copied the best of class of whatever segment they're aiming for since they have been a nameplate, that's what they do!

I agree. Theses 2 cars are almost identical in shape. Lexus are fine cars but they often copy German's models either Mercedes or BMW.

Wow, you seem to take a lot of offense to online posts.
What about water repellent? Water is inanimate...?

RealShakaZulu, that's the W220, old S-Class.

Juan, I too would never buy a Lexus for the same reasons you mentioned. However, they are inarguably making a vehicle of outstanding quality. I am merely suggesting, that it's sales is a testament to its success (as a copied vehicle) .

Vin, I agree. For the CFO a soul has little to no impact on car purchasing decisions. She wants reliable, low maintenance, durable conveyance at little to no cost that she can drive until she falls through the floor board. Lexus/Toyota does this better than anyone, which is why she drives an ES330.

I want to love a Lexus badly... it makes way more sense than a Bimmer. But when I grab the door handle and it weakly opens the door, I slide into the thin leather seats, close the door w/o a vault-like sound and drive it... I crave my BM even more.
