Working ramps!!

Hi, these passed weekend I had some time to do these Raps
made from 2x10 treated wood the ramps are 58l X 9h X 11w(it log, because of my E39 Seats low and i don't want to hit the from bumper) . where the vehicle seats ones its up its 10FT long by 12in Wide It rises 9 inches high from the floor. I find that it a good clearance for working on something like the transmission diff etc. I did use the 6 stacks and the ramps from work that they where going to trow away and purchase the two 10F X12in at home depot for 16 and some change.
When I drove on the ramps with the X5 i was a bit scare but there was no flex of the ramps at all.
Hope that you like and it could help others For next week I hope to start my work bench that I want to Build. For been my first wood work I think i did pretty good.
(don't mind the tape on the garage door I recently move to these House and I haven't do much on it)

I like the composite ones better, just get 4 and place in front of each wheel and drive on it. Now you have room on the sides to get under the car as well. I feel they are safer than wood. Harbor Freight sells them for under $30 for 2, use 20% off coupon on 2 purchases and it may not cost you that much. Now this will work on the x5 only because of the height, for lower cars yours will work better.

Looks like its doing the job though!

Those will do the job.

Most prefer these due to easy storage....
