IMO GL looks like crap. Not graceful at all unlike the CLS.

I still think the RR Sport wins out of all the cars brought up (except the X5 of course.. )

Lamborghini is coming out with a replacement to the LM002? Now this I have to see!

BTW: gresch, the W164 is supposed to be quite reliable compared to previous Mercedes' seeing how most of it was designed under the new CEO with a different philosophy (quality first).
it's doesn't matter who the CEO is... it's the f'ed manufacturing and QA process.

The new big boss has a turn around in mind to fix the issues that plauge Mercedes.

if you seriously think 1 man can change a large multi-national corporation with a product that was designed and manufactured not even when he came on board and be able to make the changes that quickly, you're smoking some pretty good stuff.. it's doesn't work that way.. If that's the case, I wouldn't have to worry about making my numbers every freakin quarter or any technical issues with multi vendors.

I'm not saying that one man can make the change himself. I'm just saying that there is some evidence of Mercedes trying to get their act together. The new models coming out from Mercedes have had some influence from Zetsche and it'll show hopefully. When the W220 came out there were problems everywhere with the Airmatic failing, seats bursting on fire and what not on the onset. Hopefully the W221 will be a radical improvement quality and reliability wise.

The X5 is best of out anything discussed so far. For one reason or another, all of the presented options thus far involve some kind of compromise.

if you're gonna wait for that one, might as well wait and see what BMW will come out with, as I'm sure they're going to have something comparable.
