The Phaeton is the same as the Audi A8; but way cheaper. It's like comparing a 350z to G35.

It really is all about the badge - I agree.

In northern Toronto, there's a place where there is a Benz and VW dealership next door.

They were trying so hard to sell Phaetons that they had propped one up on each of the 3 glass walls of the VW building. That way any customer in the Benz building would see it.

Huh? The 350z and G35 are close in price, with the Z being more expensive with certain options.

And from what I understand the Phaeton and A8 are probably about the same in price...
