Nyc Area
I gennerally drive in the NYC area.
The only time I got stopped is with a detector. The cop was behind we at night and when the detector sounded his lights went on. I wonder if he would of stopped me if I did not have the detector? In general I have found that the detectors give to many false alarms. The only one I would consider is a hidden unit.

My V1 is hardwired and mounted on the windshield, just to the right of the rear view mirror.
