My father used to swear by his charcoal weber. You'd compliment him on how amazing something came out, and he'd just say "it was the weber". He'd roll over in his grave if he saw me cooking with my new behemoth (not gas!!!).

I really like the 5 year old weber genesis we have. My biggest complaint was flare up with grease. A lot of the searching I did over the past few weeks focused on grease management. I was all set to go with DCS (who has the best grease management system) but then a couple of people told me their quality has gone downhill in the past couple of years. The wanted me to buy a "capital" grill, but since I've never heard of them I went for the Viking.

I'll miss my Weber though!

L: that is exactly my beefs w/my current vs. the ol'Weber:
grease flare ups and overall quality. I'll find a better, but not break the bank grill for the other seasonal joint.

Jeesssshh, I sound like I'm obsessing here on freaking grills, but we do grill 3-4 nights/week and I consider myself an excellent grill mechanic, as opposed to "cook".

I'll take it! Does it come with steaks? Seriously, I will be able to transport it at the end of May. I'll talk to you about it later. Mmmm, steaks.
