Not sure that hate is the right word

Not sure that hate is the word, true I do hate hearing the rumble of some kids
sub but generally I try to keep a open mind.

Some member of this group however thinks that because I have and different view point I am wrong and need to be told off. I started a thread asking about what was the best mod and told that any and all mods are great.

I get the feeling that this is not a open mind group but rather a gang of teen age kids?

I sometimes wish I was a teenager, cause I got laid a lot more back in them days, but the rest of it I wouldn't go back for

I'm with the people who think those neon blue washer-nozzle lights are butt ugly. Most of the accessories and add-ons they sell at your average auto parts store are junk, in my humble opinion.

Most of the mods I've done on my X have been upgrading OEM equipment that I already had- such as swapping out the 4:3 Nav screen for the 16:9 widescreen, and getting the replica 20" BWM wheels to replace my stock 19"s.

Basically, we can all hate on this and that, but in the end, it's pretty much moot point because I can't tell you how to spend your $$ with any reasonable expectation that you'd follow along, and vice versa.

Maybe that's why people got pissed about your earlier posts? It's not hard to see how someone can take your basic "mods are stupid" message as an affront and an intrusion into their wallets/purses. Smooth it out and clarify what you mean, and you'll be met with smiles instead of frowns.

Your point has been made, here and elsewhere, ad nauseam. Time to turn the record over, don't you think?

I'm just a "teen age" (sic) kid, whose "not open mind" (sic), so you'll have to bear with me. I appreciate both your open mindedness, and your ability to consistently articulate your position in a well-reasoned and eloquent fashion.

Have a nice day.

I am a person that always considers cost (hate a guest menu at a club even when I am the guest). This not to say that you or anyone can't spend money as they want. Therefore it is my judgement that you need to consider the cost before you do something. I would rather own a 4.8 than my 4.4 but my lease cost is about $650 and you can't lease a 4.8 for less than a $1,000. To me the 4.4 is a better deal.

Given that all Mods have cost and bennifit you need to consider the pro's and con's before you do it. The silver rings around the gages looks great but it sounds like a lot of work and time. If it was easy I would do it. I am not trying to insult people or the mod's they have, rather I am looking for those mods people consider the best mod considering time and money.

The running board mod looks good but not sure its worth the money.I don't have unlimited funds and therefore can't do what ever I want. Its seems like some think its a attacked to questions wether a mod is worth it? I thought this was a group that would talk about what mods they have done and why; but the general feed back is how dare I question them. You would think I was questioning there faith of the BMW god. I really would like to talk about what mods are the best and do not mean to insult anyone.

Good response. FYI, the guage ring install is actually quite simple if you know what you are doing and are patient. The total install took me about 30min. It was probably the best price value mod I have done to date. The main exception being the ///M steering wheel.

The best mods are the personal opinion of the owner, as are the color choices or whether to get the 3.0, 4.4 or 4.8. That being said, it is difficult for us to justify our opinions. You may feel that running boards are not worth the $, as I may feel they are. Again, personal opinion. However, if it is my opinion that something is worth the $, you should not question that opinion. Can this die now. Everyone has, and is entitled to, different opinions.
