damn theres alot of generalization made to this thread........
theres alot of kids with g35s and evos and whatnot on their hands and the accident rating is half and half. you have to learn what your car's potential and learn what it can and cant do.
i have friends that have mod'ed g35s and gli's but they're only around 17 and 18 years of age. im sure that they got their cars because their parents could afford one for their son and saw their skills with the car.

having a permit is another thing. you drive around with your parents for at least a year to get a license. this shows your potential as a driver to your parents and they have to make a decision on their own regarding what type of car you're gonna get.

another thing, people make mistakes all the time. there are people who learn from accidents and dont learn from accidents (of course, there are cases where the injury could be fatal leading to death). this is not a personal threat to anyone.

im just saying generalizations shouldnt be made about a driver's age and maturity level. its like saying all asians are chinese and it doesnt matter because we all look alike and whatnot (im asian myself so i get that alot but i dont really care).
so generalization shouldnt be made in my opinion

I'm 34.

At 17, you wouldn't get insurance on an M3 (in England) or an X5. Not unless you owned your own insurance company. We have some pretty tight rules here - insurance companies wouldn't touch you on M cars if you were younger than 25, some even state 30 and then there is an excess of £1000 (the first part of any claim that you would have to pay).

o damn they are strick in the UK .. i didnt know tht,

off topic but i came for vacation to the uk this past sumer and it was a lot of fun . so many nice cars there....

diff, GC coilovers and sways, Eisenmann race with section 1 and 2, pulleys, SSR Comps for the tracks with R compound and the infamous gizmo...

well xx3??? when are we gonna meet up on the track?? I still haven't heard back??? I will be happy to pay for your rental for the spec miata. Hell if you are that good of driver, I'll talk to radical west and get SR3 rental cuz they're not going to let your X3 on the track.

I agree that it's subjective, too.

If we're comparing the E46 M3, I'd take an X5 any day. I don't like 2-door cars, and I don't like that raspiness of the 3.2L I6 in the M3 anyway. It's not a practical car.

If we are talking about a new 4-door E90 M3 with the 4L V8, then I'd pick it over the X5.
