regret getting the x5.

ever since i got the x5, i regret tha ti didnt go for the M3. the x5 is nice and all but i think as a first car, i shouldve rather gotten a smaller car such as the m3. so far only a month and ive told you guys about the dent i did myself onto the car which i have to get fixed, I think that i wouldve been better off wiht a m3 because i drive so much better wiht the sisters 325i, just though ti would share my opinion....so i posted it at the lounge.

anyways who else would rather drive an m3 over an x5?

just my 2cents

p.s i still love this car.. lol .. just saying m is better. but im stuck with this bad boy for a coupel of years now

its all about what you prefer. They are both excellent vehichles but very different. i know i would give up my M3s for anything. They are awsome. But I love my X5 too . But at your age if you can only have 1 car i would have gone with the M3

I had a 2003 M3, it was sweet but I prefer my X5 4.4 & 996 combo

I'm not sure that an M3 is a good first car. IMHO, you should learn to walk before you try to run.

The X3 may have been a better choice.

You can get a 4.4 for high 50's. It doesn't make sense to spend $10k+ on options that you will receive very little for when you trade it in.

My mother made me go with the X3 over the Z4 (because the former is safer...). Looking back on it, I still do dream of the Z4, but then I think of all the road-trips I couldn't have down with four other friends...

However, I think you and I should just be fortunate that we are driving BMW's for our first cars... *reality check!*

The M3 is a totally different animal than the X5. Totally different driving style. If he went from the X5 to the M3 he would still have a lot to learn. So IMO it really wouldnt make a difference. If he wanted to learn and start small he shouldve gone with a 330

or a honda civic.. the m3 is too much car for an experienced 17 yo.. He will probably kill himself before he makes it to 18..
