I wonder what would be quicker round a track: that or a 996 C4S with 320 hp and ~3200 lbs?

Wasn't there a recent comparison test between a Boxster S and a new Z4 M roadster? If I remember right, the Boxster S had the better track times but it was noted that the M roadster was much improved. I'm rifling through my magazines, but I can't find it.
It's logical that the Cayman S would outperform the M Coupe, but not by much, probably a gap that could be closed with some mods. |

yes, i've noticed those (numerous) comparos ... i thought the M faired far better than the Boxster S?! Or perhaps that was just in the objective tests like 0-60, 1/4-mile, etc. On a track, I'm not sure ..... I'd suspect it would be better on a track too, but that's why I'm thinking the M would be better pitted against the Carrera.

In a recent Z4M vs Boxter S comparison, the Z4M had better acceleration figures. The Boxster won the comparison as a better balanced vehicle. Not sure if it was Automobile or C&D. The test was held in Spain.
