As long as they don't have the M3 'rasp', it is an improvement. I hated the rasp sound on my E46, sounded like a Honda with an exhaust leak.

ik think i may sell both of my M3s and go for the E90 M3 which will be my street car. and then get a Z4M Coupe strictly for the Track. So i have the best of both worlds. Now i just have to figure out what to replace my 02 M5 with.
there is an 18 month waiting list for a C6 Z06 right now unless you want to pay about a $15k-$20k dealer markup....

Thats true and not true. My local dealers said that crap to my friend and he got sick of waiting. So he told his 17 year old son to start calling and checking online every dealer in the USA obviously starting with the closest first. the kid couldnt wait he has nothing else better to do. After about 2 days of that crap he found a dealer in Iowa that had a brand new one on the lot and its been sitting there no one asked about it. My buddy owns a body shop and tow truck service. So he bought it over the phone and sent his son and one of his employees to go pick it up with a flat bed. He got it for sticker. and they got there and back in like less than a week. But they stopped to site see on the way. Not sure if id be willing to drive to Iowa. But i bet if i did the same thing and wanted it bad enough i could get one too. He got his a few months ago. Let me tell you this thing is a beast. Just not my style. The only thing i like about the car is its power.

It sounded like a Civic with one of those coke bottle exhausts. The rasp was fixed in '05+ cars with resonator on ONE side of the exhaust path where the Euro cats would go.

that will be a mistake. There is no replacement for an E39 m5. It will go down in BMW history as an instant classic.. TQ2K and Hayaku would agree with me!

I would keep the E39 M5 if I had one. Very true, it is an instant classic. As far as the Z4M, I would not buy it because I have never been interested on small M cars, although I did love my E36 M3, I would take a comp. pkg. M3 any day over the Z4M. IMHO....

Now that i think about it your right. Maybe i will just keep my E39 M5 and just get rid of the E36 and E46 M3s for the New M3 and ZM4 coupe.
