Here are pics of the scratch:






You can see how it most likely happened in the third picture. My guess is that the guy washing it had the wiper arm raised, but it fell back down with the wiper blade turned around and it scratched it

Ouch! That's one heck of scratch. They $tealer better fix for you.
When I give my X5 to dealer I tell them to note that I do not need car wash and they write it on the number tag they attach to keys. The dealer car washes are very crappy and I do not want to end with swirls anyway.
