And so was "The Name of the Rose". It was a great movie, too, just as incendiary as Dan Brown's especially in light of the sexual crapola coming out about the church recently. I don't remember any gnashing of teeth and rending of garments over Umberto Eco's book. People just knew it was fiction and a damn good yarn. Some of us take ourselves waaayy too seriously these days.
