True story about cops.

listen to this crap. About a week ago I had the M5 out. I was at work and my youngest brother stops by to see me. Know i was closed that day and i have a large parking lot which i own and do not share with anyone so besides us it was empty. So anyway we go to leave. and my bro takes off first and starts do some pretty serious donuts and burnouts right in front of me in his
Dinan 540 sport. So being his big bro i had to show him how its really done in a M5 and i proceed to do more of the same. (By the way i wish i had someone there to video tape this.) So anyway we finish up and about to pull out a cop comes flying in blocking us in and makes us get out of the cars. Flipping out saying we are both getting tickets for reckless driving. So i said reckless driving in my parking lot. The cop says you own this lot. I said yes and as you know its private property so ill be going know and you could move your cruiser. He was F###king pissed off bad.

Week later my brother was leaving the same place this had happened gets on the highway around the corner. and bam town cop pulls him over on the highway. Know at no time did he go over the limit anywhere. The cop says do you know what you were doing. He says yea driving home. He said no you were doing 90 in a 65 you i be right back. Anyway he gets a ticket for reckless driving. It was the same cop that was in our parking lot a week earlier. Next day less than 24 hours after the first ticket he gets off the same exit bam gets pulled over by the same cop again. No turn signal and ticket for expired emissions. How f###ked up is that. Needless to say he is not going to be visiting me at work for a while. Now im thinking im next and this cops got a real problem with us after the parking lot incident. So i call my lawyer and he is sending a letter to the chief of police about police harasment and warning them to stop immediately. and he is going to court to fight the tickets. You guys believe this crap.

That is F*ed up...

you gotta remember, most cops are jerks that didn't make it in life and the only way they can still give crap to people is by being a cop...

that said, you should keep burning out in the parking lot... He can't do anything about that!

Amen!

90% of the cops I've run into are outright nazi's when it comes to cars and driving in general.

And of course, they don't care if the property is private or not, if you are spinning your wheels, even for a second, it will be up to the cop to decide your fate.

Why don't you call your local phone company and have them block 911 on your phone, considering that cops are so useless to you, they won't be able to help you if there's an emergency in your life now will they?

you my friend don't live in a town with cops that are way way over funded. We have a cop on every street corner here in Los Altos. You get ticketed for no front license plate, going the speed limit downtown (even the speed limit is apparently too fast...), ticketed for going 5 miles over.

Stupid stuff like that. Yet when idiots from my high school are drunk driving or partying hard they are no where to be found... The cops in my town waste their time on stupid priorities.

I don't have anything against cops in general, but the cops in my town, and the cop that dinanm3 encountered aren't the best of the breed. Besides when I call 911, the firemen are the first to show at the scene anyway...

you give him shit about having better things to do because you assume he pulled you over because of the type of car you were driving
you draw the conclusion that the cop was "a bad one"

wtf is wrong with people?
You've obviously never been to california... Here 80% of the cars don't have license plates. Many BMW dealerships don't even deliver cars with front plates any more. If you want a front plate you have to ask them for it...

I'd have a hard time justifying as a cop that the majority of the cars on the road are 'stolen' at any given time...

Actually, I lived in Hermosa Beach for 3 years and San Francisco for 6 months so yes, I do know about how cars are delivered in CA. My uncle was also a copy in berkley for over 20 years and chief of police in Sea Side for another 2.

I don't know what part of CA you live in, but there's no way in hell that 80% of cars in CA don't have plates, and EVERy car when registered gets 2 plates. I've lived there, I work there 2 weeks out of every 3 months and I have family in SD and SF....

Also, I'm born and bred Long Islander, Nassau county to be specific. Look up on the internet which 2 counties have the highest paid Law Enforcement divisions and you'll see that it's Nassau and Suffolk Counties in NY.

thanks for your observations, but you're completely wrong.

LOL... it's cuz you got East Los Altos... If any town has a ghetto like that, you would have a ton of cops too.. Seriously though, the road to downtown is residential (kinda) and hence the crack down.

Too bad you don't live in California, if you pulled that crap like where ever it is you live here in CA, your shit would be towed!!!!! Under 23103(b) CVC it's a Misd. even if you own the parking lot!!! And that means if you don't kiss his A$$, your shit is towed and the County Jail with the booty bandit is close by!!!! Anyways don't blame the cop because for doing his job plus it sounds like you were tryin to provoke him from the get go...I own this lot. SOUNDS LIKE YOU DONE! Oh by the way that letter to the Police Chief from the attorney, it will probably end up in the trash can. A cop can follow you any where he wants and when he wants, when he catches you breakin the law, your toast. If I were you I would find him off duty, buy him a beer and kiss his a$$. You'll lose this battle and remember he has friends that wears the badge too!!

East los Altos? There is no such thing... haha Your thinking of East Palo Alto my friend... Los Altos has no ghetto I assure you...

Oh wait I'm sorry you live, on the OTHER SIDE of the bay. Maybe you should visit our side next time before you make generalizations...

All of which is besides the point.

Unfortunatley, people need to shelve the misplaced anger bullshit immature mind games that they play with themselves and realize that it's more probable than not, and yes ther are exceptions, that they deserved whatever tix they've received in their lives.
Just an observation, but it sounds like to me like you have simply displaced your anger from cops to fellow X5world members. Hahahaha

The LEO's normal post is by your business right?
Was your brother doing 90 in a 65?
Did your brother fail to use his signal?
Was his emissions tag expired?

I bet the answer to all 3 was yes.... so explain to me again how the cop is harrassing your brother.
