god complex

i've also ran into a cop who was just way out of line. In my local town i've gone out of my way to meet almost all the city traffic cops and state troopers, either at work, or coaching their kids, or thru social activities, or at the gym , and i've made sure that i left a very nice impression. Sometimes u just have to live u're life this way to make sure if u find u'reself in a sticky situation that u have some options..

I wonder if they get to focused on exercising their authority without also exercising the appropriate amount of discretion and responsibility along with it.

I bet the answer to all 3 was yes.... so explain to me again how the cop is harrassing your brother.
1.was doing 75 in a 65 behind a tractor trailer truck and he just pulled onto the highway and the cop followed him onto the highway.
2.there was no turn to use a signal. He got off the highway was driving the cop was in a commuter lot next to the off ramp. Pulled out behind him and gave him a ticket for not signal when he never turned anywhere.
3.CT has a new law we dont have emissions stickers anymore. You only have to go after your car has reached 4 years old after first date of registration. He has no way to tell if his emissions were expired unless he ran his plate and specifically checked for that violation. The car was 4 years and a couple weeks old. Anyway when your car turns 4 years old you are supposed to get a letter from the DMV andhe never did.
Also that is 3 tickets in less than 24hours from the same cop. Are you really trying to tell me that is normal. or this cop doesnt have a problem?
My brother also by the way has a perfect driving record not one ticket on it. And this cop is f###king him because he is pissed off for some reason. Give me a break Gresh

Dude reread the first post.
My bro was not doing 25 over he was doing the speed limit.
# 2 i own a building where i manufacture stuff that has a parking lot that i own and only employees and my trucks can use. It was closed that day. The parking lot was empty. Its my building my lot. By the way the lot is about 6 acres large. Its fenced in with a gate. The gate was only open because my brother left it open when he pulled in. Yes we were smokin the shit out of the tires. Cop happens to be driving by. Pulls in gets us out of our cars and trys to get us for reckless driving. I explain to him im the owner. And to leave because its private property he leaves pissed of. Next day same cop pulls over my brother twice and gives hime 3 tickets in less than 24hours. for shit he made up. The only real infraction was the emmission violation which he can only find out if he runs the plate and links into DMV records specifically dor that. And your saying my bro and i are out of line. By the way both of us have clean driving records. and we are the assholes. I think you and the cop are the assholes. Honestly i hope you run into a cop like this because you wont understand until you do. No one os above the law including cops and this guy obviously thinks he is which is why i already have my lawyer working on this. He called the chief of police already and he said he will look into it and get back to us tuesday about it.

You are comparing shooting a gun to doing a burn out on private property. Which by the way in CT if you have over a certain amount of acrage it is legal to discharge a firearm on private property. and when i told the cop the parking lot was mine he realized he couldt do shit and he left. No tickets nothing. Thats why he is pissed off.

You can but you have to have a certain amout of land. I think in CT its 20 or more acres. I have a gun and go to a friends piece of land all the time with buddies to target practice. He has 50 acres though. I have 2 acres at my house and that would be illegal.

So anyway we go to leave. and my bro takes off first and starts do some pretty serious donuts and burnouts right in front of me in his
Dinan 540 sport. So being his big bro i had to show him how its really done in a M5 and i proceed to do more of the same. (By the way i wish i had someone there to video tape this.) So anyway we finish up and about to pull out a cop comes flying in blocking us in and makes us get out of the cars. Flipping out saying we are both getting tickets for reckless driving. So i said reckless driving in my parking lot. The cop says you own this lot. I said yes and as you know its private property so ill be going know and you could move your cruiser. He was F###king pissed off bad.

Week later my brother was leaving the same place this had happened gets on the highway around the corner. and bam town cop pulls him over on the highway. Know at no time did he go over the limit anywhere. The cop says do you know what you were doing. He says yea driving home. He said no you were doing 90 in a 65 you i be right back. Anyway he gets a ticket for reckless driving. It was the same cop that was in our parking lot a week earlier. Next day less than 24 hours after the first ticket he gets off the same exit bam gets pulled over by the same cop again. No turn signal and ticket for expired emissions. How f###ked up is that. Needless to say he is not going to be visiting me at work for a while. Now im thinking im next and this cops got a real problem with us after the parking lot incident. So i call my lawyer and he is sending a letter to the chief of police about police harasment and warning them to stop immediately. and he is going to court to fight the tickets. You guys believe this crap.
Can I believe this crap? Oh yeah. Being from Texas, I'm more than aware of cops overstepping their authority - where driving on the roads after midnight will get you automatically pulled over. Living in California I'm aware of the total lack of accountability for our men and women in blue. Of course, I do know several cops personally and think they are really stand-up guys, so you have to guard against generalizations. Anyhow, I hope your attorney is successful at getting this dude off your back. In the meantime, I'd find another route to the highway or follow your brother with a video camera to document this stuff.

you my friend don't live in a town with cops that are way way over funded. We have a cop on every street corner here in Los Altos. You get ticketed for no front license plate, going the speed limit downtown (even the speed limit is apparently too fast...), ticketed for going 5 miles over.

Stupid stuff like that. Yet when idiots from my high school are drunk driving or partying hard they are no where to be found... The cops in my town waste their time on stupid priorities.

I don't have anything against cops in general, but the cops in my town, and the cop that dinanm3 encountered aren't the best of the breed. Besides when I call 911, the firemen are the first to show at the scene anyway...

you give him shit about having better things to do because you assume he pulled you over because of the type of car you were driving
you draw the conclusion that the cop was "a bad one"

wtf is wrong with people?
You've obviously never been to california... Here 80% of the cars don't have license plates. Many BMW dealerships don't even deliver cars with front plates any more. If you want a front plate you have to ask them for it...

I'd have a hard time justifying as a cop that the majority of the cars on the road are 'stolen' at any given time...

Cops don't get paid to enforce HIS/HER PERSONAL AGENDA. Pls read the post before making judgement.
Thanks for clarifying. I hope you could get him off your back soon. I bad it would be for the people who doesn't have your knowledge and resources.

Actually, I lived in Hermosa Beach for 3 years and San Francisco for 6 months so yes, I do know about how cars are delivered in CA. My uncle was also a copy in berkley for over 20 years and chief of police in Sea Side for another 2.

I don't know what part of CA you live in, but there's no way in hell that 80% of cars in CA don't have plates, and EVERy car when registered gets 2 plates. I've lived there, I work there 2 weeks out of every 3 months and I have family in SD and SF....

Also, I'm born and bred Long Islander, Nassau county to be specific. Look up on the internet which 2 counties have the highest paid Law Enforcement divisions and you'll see that it's Nassau and Suffolk Counties in NY.

thanks for your observations, but you're completely wrong.
