yes, today's the day. i came in early and plan on leaving at 11.

i
ve heard a few stories about their security. one being that the
US Team bus is the only bus that does not have their Flag on it.
the other being that they had SWAT mixed in w/ the local security.
how true that one is, i don't know.

XM has the exclusive radio rights. Hence the new XM2GO MyFi sitting on my desk at work right now

I've been following http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/index.html for more info...

That being said, listening to football/soccer on the radio is like listening to someone paint... it's frustrating.

btw - it's JPN 1 Australia 0 2nd half 70minutes

How can you guys sit there and watch such a boring game??? That's why hockey ratings are going down and is dying...IT'S TOO BORING!!! What is this "FIFA" thing anyway? Sounds like a name for a wimpy poodle. This sport will never take hold in America, we like manly games that aren't boring!

LOL!

The World Cup is the most exciting Tournament ever period.
If you ever saw Diego Mardadona score a goal in a World Cup you know what I'm talking about. Its just so grand compared to anything else. besides, NBA,NFL, Baseball have championships every year..how boring is that.

Is this world cup thing not a championship??? Aren't they playing to crown a champion in soccer? Yes, the act of the goal is exciting I'm sure but what about the other whatever endless minutes where they just run around and go back & forth without scoring?

Suprising comments coming from someone who's been in the Armed Forces for 22 years and probably well travelled. I don't know part of the country you live in but soccer is taking off in every city that I've been to in the US. It's really hard for me to understand how you can find it boring . As far as being manly, get on a soccer field and play a 90 mns then tell me if it's any less manly than basebALL or football. BTW it's Football not soccer. It is, will be and will stay the SPORT KING.
