And I happen to think you're mistaken. At least learn to spell if you want to be taken seriously.

I wasn't aware spelling had such a direct link to maturity but to each his own I suppose right?

I, nor any of the other admins/moderators will tolerate any personal attacks against any other members. I have deleted the post as I'm sure that you didn't mean it.
We are all pretty open-minded and are fine with some heated debates, however, this forum will not be used to attack other people based on their views.
Keep it civil.
Thanks.

While Ron Paul may be elected to office under a Republican banner, he most certainly is not a Republican. He is a Libertarian, and tends to vote against almost everything the Republican Party supports, which lately seems to be big government, lots of spending, and lots of wars and foreign entanglements.

So I would say Republican support for this bill was unanymous.

I don't doubt you are correct. I despise the Clintons almost as much as I do Bush. Both were/are poor excuses for the person titled "leader of the free world". It's shameful that we have leaders that brings out more protesters than they do supporters.

A few weeks ago I was watching a documentary on the history channel about when JFK visited Berlin -- it was only 16 years after the end of WWII, and most Germans still had a very strong anti-American feeling. Yet when he came, crowds cheered. He gave a big speech in front of what they estimated was over 100,000 people.

Then I watched on the news last week now Hugo Chavez visited the largest city (London) in the country who is our biggest ally in the world, and I watched him get cheered by large crowds as well.

Then you see our own leader travel abroad, and not only are their no crowds cheering, but instead they have to hurry him in and out of places and keep the protesters at a distance.

If you want to put Bush in the category he belongs in, make yourself a list of past leaders of other countries that you think would have brought out huge crowds of protesters if they had travelled outside their own country. Then you can add him to that list. I'm sure most of us would have rather similar lists.

As far as the law goes - I'd change it a little and instead of fines and prison time, I'd have those tree-hugging hippies sent straight to the sandbox and let them protest there - I bet that'll make them think twice before they disgrace another funeral with their presence.

You are being inane...whether you are liberal or conservative you are obliged to be informed, and in particular, you should maintain some degree of deference to those who have some skin in the game of life. Imagine the young men and women who are nobly serving their country (and whether you agree with their mission is not the point) who have left a far less coddled lifestyle than yours in order so that you may enjoy the freedom to differ with our politicians. I doubt you nor I have earned the right to ridicule them by proxy. They however, have given us the right to have a voice in the future of this country, and they've paid for it in blood.

Your President is not a rockstar, a hairdresser, or the "it" boy or girl of the moment that you can vote off the show from your cellphone. He's a beleaguered, underpaid guy who I happen to disagree with on many issues. This country has a proud history that preceded your existence and will be a great country long after you and I make the obituaries. Point being, if you are going to make a fuss and point fingers, bring some good ideas to the table (Cindy Sheehan).

The question is, what will you do with your life to make this a better country? And again, this post is merely about the rights of the dead. The young, fallen dead whose parents, siblings, and widows simply want a peaceful and dignified farewell.
