Andy Rooney's take on the Smart Car.
"The Smart car is half as long as a normal car. If all our cars were that long, or short, lines of traffic would be half what they are. "

You can fit up to a 6' 4" person without any problems FYI. I can't say the same for Benz's weird late CLS class creation...

It's a better looking E-Class with the same features, options and engines, minus the headroom of a normal car, but PLUS $10000 on top for nothing.

I spotted a smart car yesterday in dual tone red-grey. It was on the opposite direction of highway and therefore I did not get a chance to take pic. But the guy was going fast in that little thing.

I had the chance to drive a friend's SmartCar the other day. Quite a cool little thing, if I do say so. It's a fantastic commuter vehicle, but they seem to go really well on the highway too. I was tailing one last week at almost 90 miles per hour. It was hilarious. I was half expecting it to catch a gust of wind and get blown into the ditch.

The Smart has been sold in Europe since 1998. I was still in France when they start selling them. Now they are everywhere in big cities like Paris. It is a city car and certainely not a car for highway.

By coincidence, I saw one today getting on on the freeway while I was at the freeway entrance stoplight. First one I've seen in L.A.
