Movie looks pretty dumb du dumb dumb

Maybe it will be a good laugh with a few fright moments thrown in. Monster movies are my comedies because of the way people react to the supposed danger. In most cases you and I would run like all get out AWAY from what ever it is. But in the movies you get those curious souls who have to investigate. Of course they get eaten one by one with the audience yelling to themselves LOOK OUT!!! I guess there will be no escape on the plane so it will be interesting to see how the writers have people deal with not being able to escape their doom. I cant wait to crack up. Usually the black folks get killed first. So i'll look for that in the first few minutes.

Ok some of the review are in and it was just as I said a ROIT. Haven't seen it yet but here's a clue.

This is a movie that is uniquely, ideally suited for the rowdy, crowded communal experience, the likes of which we haven't seen since "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

This is an event. It's a rare example of a film not just living up to the hype, but surpassing it. And it's the best time you'll have at the movies all summer, if not all year.

Granted, it's difficult to separate the two — the sensation of watching the film en masse and the film itself — because they're so intrinsically entwined. At a recent late-night showing, for example, a guy wearing a Big Bird mask led the packed auditorium in spirited "Snakes on a Plane" cheers — and this was during the trailers, before the film had even started.

I agree with you totally! They also ALWAYS drop the gun, knife, axe, or whatever, or don't bother to pick it up and kill whatever is after them! And the black guy, Samual Jackson I believe (sp?), is the lead in this one, isn't he? He can't Die!

Personally, I'll wait for this one to come to cable...

That was an old movie with the shark. wasnt llcoolj inthat movie too. I will wait till its on cable which should be in oh what time is it?

Actually you may have to wait a while. It's not as bad as folks made it out to be. No I haven't seen it but like i said before it's suppose to be fun and so far thats what everyone is saying.

Now that you've drawn my attention to it, QS, Snakes On A Plane is on my list of movies to go see. It's IMDB.COM rating is 8.4/10 (1548 votes) which is way up there. By contrast, Pirates of the Caribean is 6.6, Cars is 7.7, and Clerks 2 (my favorite movie this year) is 8.1.

There was a time when I would see any movie with Samuel Jackson in it because I always liked his acting. I am now beginning to question his script review process. He must be hurting for $$ and needs to make the mortgage payment or something.
