Let me know how your trip goes. I am going to Germany in November to meet friends over there which will be visiting us in October.

Do you think people that carry for self-defense advertise it on their forehead? You would be surprised how many people you run into every day that carry a gun and yo udon't even know it... On the second thought, you probably don't since you live in Commiefornia - you have to be God, corrupt politician or loaded with green to get a concealed handgun license there.

As to the original question, make sure you don't just have a gun with you, but also check for ammo or even empty brass rolling around your bag - even that could get you in trouble in many Countries. Knives are also a big no-no; knowing your background, I'm sure you always have a folder or two clipped to your pocket.
