Decided on a TV over the weekend... and didn't go LCD

Didn't go plasma either... but I went over budget and over size

50" Sony SXRD and here's some info on it though I barely know what most of it means:

Still a good decision! But Ken, you gotta get a new and more stable TV stand... c'mon, you new tv might fallover 'lilbit...

Good choice. I have the same model, and have been very happy with it. Recommend you look at the factory Sony stand, it works well with this model.

Yeah, I know we need a new stand... that's the one Nicole had at the house and it's temporary. I thought about putting it on the floor for the time being, but we manged to set it on the old stand. We have about a week before we have to worry about a new stand, and I like the idea of the Sony stand coming with a TV strap in the rear.

I hope you didn't forget to purchase extra extended warranties. Sony no longer stands for quality. They are being sued globally for being a let down.
I stopped buying anything that has sony brand name on it 3 years ago.
