Decided on a TV over the weekend... and didn't go LCD
  50" Sony SXRD and here's some info on it though I barely know what most of it means: Quote:

Good choice. I have the same model, and have been very happy with it. Recommend you look at the factory Sony stand, it works well with this model.

Yeah, I know we need a new stand... that's the one Nicole had at the house and it's temporary. I thought about putting it on the floor for the time being, but we manged to set it on the old stand. We have about a week before we have to worry about a new stand, and I like the idea of the Sony stand coming with a TV strap in the rear.

I hope you didn't forget to purchase extra extended warranties. Sony no longer stands for quality. They are being sued globally for being a let down.

Congratulations! Sweet TV! I didn't initially go LCD either, I got the Toshiba 62" HD DLP, and I love it! Can't wait for football season!

noice. I was amazed with my TV when I punched my 2G card out of my phone in and it started displaying the images, very very cool technology.
