What about having a Forum just for Politics?
Having presenced so many political threads in this Lounge, I put forth the following question to everyone: Wouldn't it be better if we had a forum where all threads of political nature would be placed? Any threads that eventually get political (as many times happens; I was involved in one such case today) would also be moved to such a Forum. Politics these days being such a sensitive issue, I think most members of this site would actually benefit from such an initiative; I for one wouldn't mind not having to stumble across political issues that often turn into heavy heated debates, if my main intention was to, for example, go into the lounge for some non-heated-debate socializing. On the other hand, those members in the mood for political debating (a lot of people in many instances...) would have a direct place to go. Who thinks this sounds like a plan?

instead of calling it "the lounge", we can call it, "the war room"..
Lol... Don't know how I really feel about this one. Having politics in the OT forum seems like the right place to me.

political discussions in and of themselves are OK in the lounge.
the problem is that every thread in the lounge turns into a liberal vs conservative, pro- vs anti-war kind of discussion.
