I like the current model better, especially the nose which to me looks what a porsche SUV should look like - retro 911ish headlights. If it weren't for the X - I'd be driving a pepper.

Yeah, always a hot front end. The rear never made any sense anyway.
Squatty, body!

I like the front a lot better than the old version, but the back is ghastly, and overall it still looks like a big stinkbug.

I drove a Turbo S, and I have to say it was pretty impressive, but not as comfy as the X5. And I just couldn't bring myself to own something so ugly on the outside. The improved front takes it from (on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being best) a 2 for looks to maybe a 4, but still a LONG ways from actually looking "good," let alone great.

Probably need to design a little more height, strength to the rear.
Set it up a little more race ready.

I owned one for about 3 months and have to say I hated every moment of it, hence to say why I had it only for 3 months. Everyone said it looked like a hersce, I didnt think it felt special enough, it's not as sporty as the X5, the alloy selection for the porsche is not great although I had 20"s on mine. The rear wiper sticks out like a sore thumb, The seats dont even come close to being as good as on my 4.6is, their is more space in the X5, I thought the dash shape and layout was boring. I could actually go on writing some more but I wont. Dont get me wrong I'm not BMW biast because I own a 4.6is! Porsche is a great car, I have owned a few 911's and just sold a 996 turbo which was amazing. But their 4x4 is not half the vehicle the X5 is. Porsche may have the name, but in this case thats all it is..............
